If your vehicle has an LAPD hold, you must obtain a VEHICLE RELEASE from this agency before we are authorized to accept the impound charges and release your vehicle.
How to obtain your vehicle release for:
22651. O - Hold for Expired Registration
Step 1 - Get your vehicle registered. You can do this at the DMV or any other business that provides DMV services (i.e. Automobile Club).
THE REGISTERED OWNER CANNOT REMOVE PERSONAL PROPERTY (vehicle registration, etc) WITHOUT A PROPERTY RELEASE FROM LAPD PACIFIC DIVISION.
If you need to get into your car for any reason (registration paperwork, personal effects, etc.), please stop by LAPD Pacific Division and obtain a PROPERTY RELEASE before coming to Bruffy's Tow.

Step 3 - Present your vehicle release with a current form of personal identification at Bruffy's Tow. We accept all major credit cards, debit cards and cash as forms of payment. NO CHECKS. NO EXCEPTIONS. Please call (310-395-0084) to get the amount owed in tow and storage fees. This will help avoid any confusion at the time of vehicle pick-up.

Step 1 - Call the Auto Detectives to begin the process of obtaining your vehicle release. LAPD Pacific Division Auto Detectives can be reached at 310-482-6313. The LAPD Pacific Division Auto Detectives are available to assist you Monday through Friday, 7:30am-3:30pm.
Note: Please call to verify their hours of operation. They do not work on Holidays and Weekends.
